The path to spreading wealth and prosperity to every part of the UK is through investment in transport and infrastructure to connect places with new markets and opportunities. This session will highlight the transport priorities of the North East, from extending the Tyne and Wear Metro to electrifying the East Coast Main Line, asking what government and the private sector must do to level up connectivity across the North.
